Charlie’s research aims to produce the first-ever functionally graded structures using additively manufactured shape memory alloys through the development of custom processing parameters, heat treatments, and phenomenological constitutive models integrated with a machine learning platform to produce groundbreaking new alloys and parts optimized for the medical and aerospace industries.
