Congratulations to the Beam Team’s newest PhD, Sean Mills! Sean successfully defended his thesis on Oct. 28, 2019, to complete his PhD in the Materials Science interdisciplinary program.

His advisors were Dr. Aaron Stebner and Dr. Behnam Amin-Ahmadi. His committee included Drs. Amy Clarke, Kester Clarke and Kip Findley of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department and Christopher Dellacorte and Ronald Noebe from NASA Glenn Research Center.

Sean’s thesis was entitled “Development of Nickel-Titanium-Hafnium Alloys for Impact Resistant Tribology Performances.” The abstract can be found here.
