DYLAN COUSINS WINS OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL PAPER AWARD

Beam Team PhD candidate Dylan Cousins has won “Best in Track: Advances in Materials” in the Outstanding Technical Paper awards for the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX 2018) for his paper “Thermoplastic Composites for Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing.”

DAVID GRIMMER PUTS RESEARCH INTO ACTION AT NASA GLENN

Beam Team PhD candidate David Grimmer participated in a summer internship at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, in the High Temperature and Smart Alloys branch of the Materials and Structures division.

NATHAN JOHNSON AUGMENTS PHD RESEARCH AT LOS ALAMOS NEUTRON SCIENCE CENTER

This past summer, Beam Team PhD candidate Nathan Johnson worked as a graduate research assistant in the Lujan Center at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE). He worked with the Materials Science in Radiation and Dynamics Extremes group of the Materials Science and Technology division.
